Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre, a stunning coastal region in northern Italy’s Liguria, is a collection of five colorful, cliffside villages—Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Zeche Zollverein

The Zollverein coal mine, named after the German Zollverein (founded in 1834), was an active coal mine in Essen from 1851 to 1986. Together with the adjacent Zollverein coking plant, the mine’s shafts 1, 2, 8 and have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2001.
