Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre, a stunning coastal region in northern Italy’s Liguria, is a collection of five colorful, cliffside villages—Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Known for its breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, terraced vineyards, and charming narrow streets, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site that seamlessly blends natural beauty with historic charm. Visitors can hike the scenic trails connecting the villages, relax on pebble beaches, or savor local seafood paired with the region’s renowned white wine. With its vibrant facades and timeless allure, Cinque Terre offers a quintessential Italian Riviera experience.

Cologne

Cologne, a historic city in western Germany, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere. At its heart stands the iconic Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom), a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This towering structure, with its twin spires reaching 157 meters high, took over 600 years to complete and is one of the most visited landmarks in Germany. Inside, visitors are awed by its intricate stained glass windows, soaring vaulted ceilings, and the Shrine of the Three Kings, said to house relics of the Magi. Beyond the cathedral, Cologne charms with its bustling Rhine promenade, vibrant arts scene, and its famous Kölsch beer, making it a perfect blend of history and modern flair.

Zeche Zollverein

The Zollverein coal mine, named after the German Zollverein (founded in 1834), was an active coal mine in Essen from 1851 to 1986. Together with the adjacent Zollverein coking plant, the mine’s shafts 1, 2, 8 and have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 2001.

Laurisilva Forest

Laurisilva Forest is a vast forest area located between the Seixal and Ribeira da Janela mountains (32°48'34.13" N 17°08'27.61" W). It hosts a centuries-old Til (Ocotea foetens) forest. 

Florence

Florence, the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is a city of timeless beauty and cultural significance, often regarded as the birthplace of the Renaissance. Hallstatt is a little market town on the western shore of Lake Hallstatt in the Austrian Salzkammergut. A magnificant view is given from the top of the salt mountain railroad.

Knokke-Heist is a Belgian coastal town on the Dutch border with a beautiful and wide-spread sand beach.

The old Frankfurt Police Headquarters at Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage 11 in Frankfurt was built between 1911 and 1914 on an area of around 15,000 square meters and was officially opened in September 1914.
